Ajay Chacko, 35 years, has been responsible for new products and revenue lines on CNBC TV18 and CNBC Awaaz as well as brand and programming led initiatives. Ajay has been instrumental in helping build the critical 'Focus' function and in keeping the 'CNBC Universe' much ahead of the pack. He now leads our foray into new dimensions of business media and B2B spaces apart from managing day to day operations and P&L of TV18 properties. Ajay has been with Network18 since March 2004. Prior to joining Network18, Ajay has worked in financial services and media for over a decade. His earlier stints were with IL&FS (Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services, India) and he has also been part of the start up team at Sharekhan. He started his career in the Indian Express Group where he worked in different capacities
Ajay is a Management Graduate from the Dept. of Management Studies, University of Pune. He also has a post management qualification from IIM Bangalore. |

Anil Fernandes, 38 years, is the Senior Vice President - Legal & Corporate Affairs. Where he lead manages all legal, litigation and corporate affairs related work. The role entails working closely with business development contemporaries, in-house counsels and attorneys to offer strategic legal advice covering various jurisdictions. Anil has worked with Entertainment Network (India) Limited [part of The Times Group], where he was involved with radio, events, out of home media and filmed entertainment businesses. Besides media and entertainment, his experience covers varied industries such as specialty chemicals, steel, hospitality etc.
Anil is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India; holds a bachelors degree in law and a master's degree in financial management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. He is a visiting faculty member at the Centre for Corporate Research & Training. |

Anil Uniyal, 35 years, was one of the first to join the Group in the Sales Team. He has today built an enviable team focusing on various innovative revenue streams. He has been with Network18 since April 2001. Anil & Sanjay Dua drive combined revenue targets for Network18 Media. Anil's specific responsibilities include identifying and capitalizing on top line growth opportunities for TV18.
Anil has been part of the TV18 growth story in various capacities and geographies and has played a leadership role in building different sales verticals for the company - from inventory sales to setting up the customized solutions business for TV18. He brings with over a decade of experience in sales and sales strategy. Prior to Network18, he was running his own business, Quintessence, which was into consulting, events, promotions & advertising. He also worked for Yellow Pages for a year.

Dilip Venkatraman, 41 years, is responsible for all marketing operations for all existing and upcoming IBN channels & managing the overall operations of IBN Focus the alternative media solutions unit that develops context for brands through customized content, using a 3600 approach. He is also responsible for all brand communication for our corporate brand - Network18. Dilip has over 19 years of corporate experience, of which 3 years were in the US. Prior to joining ibn18 Broadcast Ltd. (formerly GBN), he held key positions at India Today and the Zee Network. He was the Head of Brand Management at Zee News and the President of Marketing for Dish TV. He also spent over a year as the CEO of Pugmarks, a technology company. In the last 7 years, he has spearheaded some of the leading initiatives in the media industry. The CNN-IBN Indian of the Year, the most credible awards in Indian media was conceived by him. He has to his credit the introduction of the first sms short code in Indian Television on a nationwide basis. He is also the man behind the Zee News LED News tickers that won him the coveted 'Indian Marketing Award'.
He is a Graduate in Public Administration, and has completed his management Programme from IIM Bangalore. |

He has considerable and varied experience and expertise in strategic and marketing planning, distribution of media across various platforms. He played a key role in distribution of NDTV 24x7 and NDTV India, when NDTV launched itself as the broadcasting house. Later on, he also proved his credentials in successful launch of NDTV Profit. And at Setpro, he took up challenge of launching of CNN-IBN, which has grown to attain the number one position within a span of 5 months since its launch.

Piyush Gupta, 35 years, is the General Manager of Operations at ibn18. He joined Network18 in 1996 as Broadcast Engineer and has worked here since then apart from a short stint with NDTV. He is a graduate in the Electronics stream from the Delhi University and brings with him a rich and varied experience of about 15 years. He has been trained over various broadcast equipment and certified by companies such as Philips, Thomson and Harris.He is responsible for designing the entire premises at Mumbai and NOIDA including the design of the studio and procurement of all broadcast and office equipment. He oversees the day-to-day operations and broadcast of all Channels uplink from NOIDA. He heads the Technical and Administration functions, which include IT, Logistics, Engineering and Office Administration.

Piyush Jain, 35 years, is the Chief Operating Officer at IBN7. Prior to joining IBN7, he was with Network18 & was responsible for Corporate Development & HR. He was with the TV18 Group for 8 years before moving to IBN7. At JTV, he has been responsible for the launch of the 24-hour National Hindi Channel which was then branded as IBN7. Currently, he is looking after the overall operations of the channel. The channel has grown phenomenally in the last 1-year of its operations and is now poised to be a leading news channel in the Hindi language space.

Raj is responsible for exploring and exploiting ad sales synergies across group media properties apart from bringing his expertise to specialist functions
Raj has over 24 years of experience in functions ranging from product management, advertising, sales promotions, sales training and research. Prior to joining ibn18, he was the Vice President and National Sales Head at NDTV. He helped NDTV attain the fastest revenue growth in the industry within a span of two years. Before that, he spent over 10 years at Star India assuming various roles and responsibilities besides setting up the Star TV operations in South and subsequently taking up National leadership role based in Mumbai across their Television portfolio for all the existing brands in their portfolio then .His area of challenge and achievement was to make the bouquet of Niche channels into mainstream Channel of choice, involving lot of concept selling . He also has over 10 years of invaluable experience (media planning , account planning and strategic planning ) with top media and advertising agencies such as Lintas,Clarion, Saatchi & Saatchi, JWT and Leo Burnett where he was the Group Head for Media Planning and rose to be Media Planning Director.

Sanjay Dua, 41 years, has over 20 years of corporate experience of which the last 15 years have been in the media industry. Prior to joining ibn18 Broadcast Ltd. (formerly GBN), he was heading all India sales for Zee News and Zee Business. He has also worked with Bennett Coleman and Walt Disney where he was in charge of sales across their various channels in India. Along with Anil Uniyal, Sanjay is the leadership face of our client facing Sales Organization, Network 18 Media Network. Sanjay's specific responsibilities include identifying and capitalizing on sales growth opportunities for the IBN Network.
Sanjay is a Hotel Management Graduate from Lucknow University and has undergone various executive training programs, the most recent one being from Mudra Institute Of Communications in Ahmedabad. |

Sanjay Sharma, 37 years, is the Vice President Operations for CNBC TV18 & CNBC Awaaz. He started his career with New Video Limited (NVL) as a customer support engineer in 1990. NVL was then the sole sales and service outfit for Sony's professional broadcast equipment. During his tenure of four years at NVL he has done various projects in broadcast like setting up of post- production facilities and broadcast institutes. He also received formal training in professional broadcast equipment from Sony in Hong Kong. Sanjay quit NVL to join Network18 in 1994. Here he heads the operations and has setup a very competitive team. His job profile includes design, operations management & maintenance of the complete broadcast station.

Zubin Driver, 37 years, is the Network Creative Director for the Group. He runs 'the cell', the ultra-cool creative wing of the Network18 that creates promos, commercials, advertising and more for all the network brands. Prior to joining the Network18 group, he was Creative Director of TBWA, Mumbai, where he built a creative team that serviced global as well as local brands. In his 12 years of Advertising, he also worked for India's leading agency networks like Lowe, O&M & Madison.

Lakshmi Narasimhan, 39 years, is Chief Executive Officer of the Magazine Publishing Business at Infomedia India . He started off his career with HTA (now re-christened J.Walter Thompson) as a Media Planner. He was part of the team which started up HTA Fulcrum, the AOR for Unilever in Indi a in 1995. Post his stint with Madison as head of the Coca Cola AOR, he returned to HTA in late-2000 as head of buying on the Unilever business. Prior to joining Network18, Lakshmi was a national director of the central trading group with Group M (the media arm of WPP). In this capacity, he was heading a team that was buying about Rs 2500 crores of TV media and was instrumental in large measure in 'streamling' the media buying process for the agency.
In his new role, he moves from Network 18 where he was leading Business Development for the group and also held specific responsibility for maximizing revenues at Web 18. Lakshmi was also involved in the start-up of several new ventures – including Sports 18 and Synergy 18. In his new role at Infomedia, Lakshmi will leverage his experience in media to significantly expand the portfolio of titles, grow revenues, create multi-media platforms
